Part or all of your real property (such as your home, vacation property, vacant land, farmland, ranch or commercial property) may be gifted to The Catholic Foundation in the Archdiocese of Dubuque by executing or signing a deed transferring ownership. Your gift will generally be based on the property’s fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal. Please contact us if the property you wish to give has existing debt or a mortgage, or if you are interested in life income options. Check with us on the capital gains tax implications of your gift, too.
Transfer securities to CFAD – after liquidation, we will deposit the assets into the fund of your choice.
If your life insurance policy is no longer needed or will no longer benefit your survivors consider making a gift and help further our mission. Simply designate The Catholic Foundation in the Archdiocese of Dubuque as the beneficiary and specify the name of the fund. You will continue to own and can make use of the policy during your lifetime. The policy will be included in your taxable estate when you pass away, but your estate will benefit from an estate tax charitable deduction for the value of the gift to us.
